This is important because we don't want Trip Detective recommending changes to something the customer cannot or will not change.

ex: Weddings, events, restaurant reservations, visiting family, business meetings, prepaid experiences, or anything you're especially attached to.

We know some stays can’t or shouldn’t be changed, especially if they’re non-refundable or booked with points or membership rewards. If your booking is flexible, we can also compare it against hotel rates available through JPN Guides, which may include added perks or amenities at select properties.

Trip Detective May Be On Us...

If qualifying hotel reservations made through JPN Guides reach $1,500 or more for your travel party, we'll refund your Trip Detective fee.


Multiple rooms and qualifying reservations for the same trip can count toward the total.


We don't recommend changing hotels simply to earn a booking. If we believe what you've already chosen is right for the trip, we'll tell you to keep it.
